Been a while since I blogged as I slipped off the edge of the earth and into darkness for about 3 months. About 5 years after we lost his sister Ashton. I had lost 140lbs in 10 months prepping for last year’s Emerald Cup and then tore my bicep shortly before the show. I gained about 20lbs back not being able to train for a while but then got back in slowly and started to get back in shape when we had a tremendous financial hardship followed by Sterling’s death and I just fell apart. I put back on 60 of what I had lost and got really dark for a while. My wife and friends and family and Church kept getting me back on my feet and then my son inspired me more than anything by getting up and performing solo in front of his whole school pouring his heart into one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen and this once painfully shy overweight boy was now a leaned out performer following his dream with a quiet immovable passion that shamed me into wanting to be a better man than I ever thought I could ever be. The dark curtains parted and my wife and daughters stood there smiling and welcoming me back to LIFE! I’ve already lost 2 inches off my waist. I’m doing better than ever at work and back in the gym and Kimberly’s and my book is heading toward completion then publication and my work is sending me back home for the next few months after almost a year on the road. Thank you Father for all our blessings. I am in heaven or about as close to it as you can be on this earth. I’ve got to train smarter and I’ve got to really dial myself in and crush any vision of what I thought possible before and go so far beyond it and keep going. I’m going to EXCELL at work and finish the book quickly. I am going to get in the shape of my life and compete in the 2018 Ecup and my beautiful wife is going to do the 2017 show. So excited! So grateful! I’ll keep blogging hers and my progress on this adventure and the Lord willing no more bod parts will fall off and I can moonwalk onstage. Better stand back, daddy’s home. This time for good. Thank you Tori, thank you Kimberly, thank you Star and Alicia. You are my breath and the Lord is my light.
